Serge Modular, Buchla Sound Easel and much, much more.

Featuring a sound design library of 250 presets, NKS2 compatibility and the ability to load your own samples,

DEVELOPED WITH IAN BODDY

Ian Boddy (UK synthesist + DiN label boss) is a long time Soniccouture collaborator. James first met Ian around 2005, at a music-tech trade show in London. Since then Ian has done lots of sound design for SC, including several signature sound packs for Haunted Spaces and Geosonics.

When we started to develop Polarity we knew it would be a great fit for Ian's analogue samples and would give it a fresh new context.
The results are incredible, which genuinely retains the feel of analogue with the morphability of granular synthesis.

THE POLARITY INSTRUMENT

THE MACRO PANEL

The main page of Polarity features four powerful macro controls, which shape and twist the sound with unpredictable results. User samples can be dragged onto the two waveform areas.

The expanded edit controls feature all the granular engine controls. Element A + B each has its own separate set, because each is a unique granular engine.

MACRO MOD ROUTING

The Synth Edit page features more conventional Amp, filter, and LFO controls. Key parameters can be routed to the Macro Controls + synced to DAW tempo. Again Element A+B each has its own set of separate synth controls.

IR REVERB MODULE WITH DUAL SENDS

Polarity features a comprehensive effects page, where each element has its own fully configurable insert chain featuring Replika, Phasis and other cutting-edge NI effects. The IR Reverb module features custom impulses from Ina Boddys modular gear, and can be used independently each Polarity element.
