Sampled felt pianos are emotional & atmospheric, but they can often be toy-like sample packs - often with a single velocity layer and very little detail.

We wanted to make a felt piano with all the sampled detail and expression you might normally find in a high-end sampled concert grand piano.

Deep Felt features 18 velocity layers, dual mics, multiple mechanical adjustment layers and sympathetic resonance. All of which allows you to dial in all the intimacy and expression you need.

Deep Felt is highly customisable, with control over every detail of the pianos mechanics. The pianos response can also be tuned to your playing style, with fine control over both curve and layers. 'MODE' decouples the velocity curve from volume mapping for more flexibility when limiting layers.

THE TUNING PANEL

Deep Felt is equipped with a full micro-tuning system, if desired. You can try new tunings from a large selection of presets, or create your own, which will repeat across all octaves. You can save or load tuning files as well.

Weaver: Create unique rhythmic patterns for each note you play. A bit like a delay effect but evolves differently according to what you play - strands of sound weave in and out of each other.

Jammer: The latest evolution of our generative arpeggiator - Hold a chord, and let it evolve - or loop a section and jam between 12 sequences using the Jam wheel.

Deep Felt features a comprehensive effects page, with a configurable insert chain featuring Replika, Phasis and other cutting-edge NI effects. The Space Reverb module features Soniccouture's custom impulse library built up over many years and recording sessions.

NKS / KONTAKT PLAYER COMPATIBLE

This is a Kontakt Player instrument. This means that you do not need to own the full version of NI Kontakt to use it. It will run standalone, or as a plug-in instrument in any VST/AU/RTAS/AAX/WASAPI,compatible host program or DAW eg: Cubase, Logic, Ableton Live, DP, Reaper, Pro-Tools. No extra purchase necessary.
